Goddess Beejasen

Temple History

Situated on Bijasen Tekri, this temple has of Maa Bijasen, who a form of Goddess Durga. Here there is no statue of Goddess but she is in form of Pindi (round stone) just like Goddess in Vaishno Devi. The pujari claims these pindi are swayam bhu and no one knows since when these pindis are being worshiped here. Pujari says people have been worshiping here since hundreds of years.

This tekri (hill lock) was used by Holkers for hunting. once while hunting the Holkers noticed this place where people used to worship and got a temple constructed at this sight in 1920.

Goddess Beejasen is kuldevi of Hindu Gadariya(Kukroliya parivar) and of many Yadav families of Sagar District.

From Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore Bijasan mata temple is around 1.6 Km. Taxis, auto city buses are available from here.

From Indore Junction it is 9 Km. Direct city buses are available from here. Autos and taxis are also easy available for temple.

From Sarwate Bus Stand it is 8.8 Km and 6 km from Gangwal Bus Stand. City buses autos and taxis are available for here to the temple.
