Lord Gomateshwar

Temple History

Gomatgiri is a sacred place for the devotees belonging to the Jain religion. This small hillock houses a 21 ft statue of Gomateshwar. This statue is a replica of the Bahubali statue, which stands at Shravanabelagola. Gomatgiri comprises 24 marble temples, each of which is dedicated to 24 Tirthankaras of Jain religion.


Additional Information

This pious place is constructed on the hillock, which was donated to the Jain Samaj by the government of Madhya Pradesh in 1981.

From Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore the temple is around 4.9 Km. Taxis, auto city buses are available from here.

From Indore Junction it is 12.3 Km. Direct city buses are available from here. Autos and taxis are also easy available for temple.

From Sarwate Bus Stand it is 12.2 Km and 9.3 km from Gangwal Bus Stand. City buses autos and taxis are available for here to the temple.
