Temple History

Ram Mandir was established in the year 1975; it was established by Seth Jhunjhunwala, a rich patron of Bhubaneshwar city. Located in the heart of the city, the temple dedicated to Lord Rama is one of the most beautiful temples of the city. The temple is also renowned for the magnificent idols of Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman and Goddess Sita. This tall temple is visible from almost all parts of the main city. Along with Shree Ram’s shrine there are many more gods like Shiv temple, Laxmi temple , Hanuman temple, Ganesh temple and Brahma temple. It’s a complex of temples.

This temple is also known for site of celebration of a lot of festivals, specially, Ram Navami, Vivaha Panchami, Janmashtami and Dussehra.

Bhubaneswar Railway station is just 1.7 km from the temple. City buses are available from the all parts of the Bhubaneswar city to the temple. Biju Patnaik International Airpor is the nearest Airport (4.7 km).
