Temple History

Sri Kalabhairava Swamy Temple is situated in (Isannapally)Ramareddy village of Kamareddy District which is 120 km from Telangana state capital Hyderabad. This temple is known as Isannapally Kala Bhairava swamy temple. This the only Kala Bhairava Swamy temple situated in South India after the Kalabhairava swamy temple in Kashi.

Lord Shiva temple and Nagendra swamy idols are also installed in the temple premises. The deity is daily decorated by sindhooram. Anna Pooja is offered every Tuesday.

On Karthika bahulashtami day Sri Kalay Bhairava swamy jaythi is grandly celebrated here and huge crowd of devotees are participated on this occasion.

Small hotels are in Ramareddy village. Rooms are available near the temple at a nominal prices. Best hotels and lodges are available in Kamareddy city.

Annadanam is offered on Thursday. Devotees can visit ancient Lord Shiva temple (Sri Vishweshwara Swamy with Goddess Annapurnadevi) which is situated near (300 mtrs) this temple.

Ramareddy Bus Stand is just 750 mtrs from the temple. Kamareddy is the nearest city which is connected to all the major cities of Telangana by road and rail routes.

Kamareddy Bus Station is 13.5 kms. Frequent buses are available from Hyderabad bus stand. Kamareddy Railway Station is 11.7 km from the temple. Trains from Hyderabad to Shirdi and Adilabad are passes through Kamareddy station. Buses and private vehicles are available from the bus stand and railway stations.

Hyderabad International Airport is the nearest airport which is 178 km from here.
