Temple History

Sri Vendikonda Siddeshwara Swamy temple is situated in Rallaguda Road village, Shamshabad Mandal in Rangareddy District of Telangana. This temple is beside the Fort Grand amusement park and very near to Hyderabad Outer Ring Road.

It is said that this temple is belongs to 10 th century. Siddulagutta temple is located on a small hill and is dedicated to Lord Shiva(Swayambhu). Due to the hill is in white color this temple is called as "Vendikonda". There are two subsidiary shrines namely Ammavari Temple and Bhavani Matha Temple which are connected by a maha mandapa supported by 32 pillars. Hanuman and Ganesh temples are also there in the temple premises.

This temple is very famous for film shootings and TV serial shootings because of the beautiful temple in peaceful and calm locality.

Mahashivarathri festival is grandly celebrated here which attracts the huge crowd of devotees from the surrounding villages and Hyderabad.

Jathara is held in the month of August (Shravana masam) every year. TSRTC runs buses from various prats of Hyderabad city during the Jatara festival.

Shamshabad is the nearest place to this temple which is just 3 kms from Siddulagutta temple and well connected to all parts of the Hyderabad city.

Umdanagar Railway Station,Shamshabad is 3.7 kms and Secunderabad Railway junction is 30.2 kms. Autos are available from the bus stand and railway station to reach the temple.

Hyderabad International Airport is 11 kms from here.
