Temple History

Sri Veerabhadra Swamy temple is located in Alladupalle village, Chapadu mandal of Kadapa district. This temple is situated beside the Kundu river which is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra Swamy. Alladupalle village is very near to Proddutur - Mydukur road.

It is said that the idol was sculptured and installed by Guru Sri Veerabramhendra Swamy. Alladupalle is the Gurusthan of Sri Veerabramhendra Swamy.

Mahashivaratri festival is celebrated grandly here which attracts the huge crowd of devotees from the surrounding villages and cities.

Choultrys and Kalyana mandapam is constructed by the temple board for the devotees. Accommodation facilities are also developing at the temple. Best hotels and accommodation facilities are available at Mydukur, Proddatur and Kadapa cities.

Mydukur is the nearest city to this temple which is just 5 kms from here. Buses and Autos are available from the bus stand. Kadapa city is 35 kms.

Proddatur railway station is 19 kms and Yerraguntla Junction Railway Station is 25.8 kms from this temple.

Tirupati Renigunta Airport is 175 kms.
