Temple History

Sri Swayambhu Siddhivinayak temple is situated in Rejinthal village of Nyalakal mandal in Sangareddy District. This temple is maintained by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam authorities.

Sri Siddhivinayaka temple is 205 years old and it is said and believed that the size of this Lord Ganesha idol is increasing every year. This is the only Ganesh temple which is facing south. Ganeshji idol is decorated with Sindhoor same like Lord Hanuman.

Once there was thick forest, a tourist name Shiva Ram Bath Jyoshi of Maharashtra came to Rejinthal visiting many temples. Once he reached this place he felt very happy from inner soul so he lived for few days in meditation. Pleased with his prayers Lord Ganesha came out of the earth in that place as Siddi Vinayaka. During the meditation lord appeared and ordered him to build a temple and perform daily rituals. The name siddhi indicates success. People who visit this temple are granted success.

Ganesh Chvithi festival is celebrated grandly every year. Every year from pushya suddha padyam to pushya suddha chaturthi Sri siddhivinayak birthday celebrations are performed. Devotees from Andhra, Telangana, Maharashtra and Karnataka visits this temple to get blessings. Sankata chaturthi(every month) is celebrated as one of the famous rituals. The special pooja in this temple is about Sankashtahara chaturthi which falls in Magha masam Krishna paksham chaturdhi (falls in the month of February), if it falls on Tuesday it is still more special and called as Angaraka Chaturdhi.

Transportation and accommodation facilities are available in Zahirabad (Telangana) and Bidar (Karnataka) cities.

Hyderabad city is 80 kms from here.

This Siddhivinayak temple is very near to Bidar-Zaheerabad road. Zaheerabad is the nearest city to reach this temple whcih is about 10 kms. Bidar is also another near city with good transport and accommodation facilities which is 20 kms.

Zaheerabad Central Bus station and Zahirabad railway stations are 13 kms from Rejinthal temple. Buses, autos and private transport is available to reach this temple. Bidar railway station is 20 kms from the Rejinthal village. Matalkunta railway station is just 4 kms from the temple but passenger train only halts here.

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, Hyderabad is about 139 kms.
