Temple History

This temple is located at the Chandwak crossroads. The specialty of this temple is it's architecture, no matter from which direction you look, the main entrance of the temple will be visible.

Initially there was a small temple of Lord Shiva at the crossroads where people used to visit and pray. Later on with the guidance of Sant Udiya Baba, some devotees took the responsibility of renovation and thus in 1994 the renovation work for this temple started. In February 1997 a three storey temple building was constructed which had a Shiv Linga and statues of Lord Shiva, Radha-Krishna, Laxmi-Narayana, Goddess Durga and Sita-Rama.


Additional Information

Although daily devotees visit this temple throughout the year but special gathering of devotees is seen during the Month of Shravan and on Mahashivaratri day. The temple has made special arrangements for the lodging and eating of the devotees.

The temple is 35 KM from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. Dodhi Rail Way Station , Dudhaunda Rail Way Station are the very nearby railway stations to Chandwak. How ever,Varanasi Jn Rail Way Station is major railway station 33 KM near to Chandwak
