Temple History

This temple is at least 300 years old. It is believed that the temple was the prayer place for saint Tadkanath. This temple Built in the year: 1784 A.D., Shivling of Tarkeshwar Mahadev is made by Black stone. It is having a 9" diameter. Golden pictographs, a Nandi in brass and big bronze gongs and bells are the other highlights.

Whenever a wish is fulfilled people go and fill the jilhari of Shivlinga with 51 kg of milk and ghee.


Additional Information

Mahashiva Ratri, Deepavali, Annakuta and Nrisingh Leela are the special attractions of this temple. Every Monday is the day of special worship of Lord Shiva. Water and milk ablutions (Abhisheka) are held and Sandal pase, Kapoor, Agarer etc. applied to the lingam.

From Jaipur International Airport the temple is 12 KM. It is 4 KM from Jaipur Jn. and 1.7 KM from Tirpolia Bazar bus stop
