Temple History

Sri Saneeshwara Navagraha is situated on the Triveni Ghat of the Shipra river. Here lord Shani appears in two forms, one is called 7½ years Bada Sani and the other one as 2½ year Chhota Sani . Ganapathy is also seen along with them. Thil oil abishekam is performed here. Around the sanctum, Navagrahas are found in their respective sides. Its religious importance has increased in recent years particularly attracts large crowds on new moon days falling on Saturdays.


Additional Information

This place is known as Triveni Theertham as there is a confluence of Khan/Gandaki river near Triveni ghat on the Shipra. Mythological sanctity of the invisible river Saraswati, associated with the story of Triveni-sangam, is attributed to this place also.

From Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport, Indore the temple is around 52.5 Km and 8.0 Km from Ujjain Junction. From Shaheed Raja Bhau Mahakal Bus Stand,Ujjain it is 8.3 Km. Sharing autos, mini buses and taxis are available from Station and Bus stand. Ujjain darshan bus is also a good option to visit temples in Ujjain
